About Us
Patton Chesnut Binder Insurance has been serving clients in the London, Laurel County, and the surrounding areas for several decades. In the 1930's R.V. Yandall opened the very first insurance agency that is now known as the current PCB Insurance. Although it has changed hands a few times, the current location has been the same since the 1960's.
How do you go from owning five and dime stores in London and Jackson County to selling insurance? That would have been a good question for Clarence Patton, who sold his five and dime stores to join Tom Craft and John Bruner in the insurance business in the 1950's to create the Craft - Patton Agency.
The current Patton Chesnut Binder Insurance was incorporated in 1972 by Patton, Keith Chesnut, and Keith Binder, and is a trusted and respected, independent insurance agency in our community. PCB Insurance is currently owned by the second generation of agents, Melvin Chesnut and Rocky Binder, who continue the tradition of their parents of providing outstanding service and protection to our community.
PCB Insurance employs nine hard working, loyal people, with most employees having been with the agency from ten to twenty years, contributing greatly to the success of our agency. Our role is not just providing information, but helping clients identify the best insurance coverage for your needs.
PCB Insurance believes in the importance of community and supporting local organizations that promote and strengthen the business community such as United Way, London-Laurel County Optimist Club, youth sports, London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce, and London Downtown.
Patton Chesnut Binder offers insurance for personal lines including home, auto, renters, boat, and rv insurance as well as business insurance and workers compensation. We also provide life and health insurance for individuals and groups.
